Asana Alternative: Clear Projects Without Tool Overhead
Asana is broad and capable, but your team should not spend the day managing the tool. Fareeqy gives each task one owner, deadline, and priority, and Fareeqy Assistant surfaces the next step.
✓ Free Forever • ✓ No Credit Card • ✓ Ready in 2 minutes
Asana is a capable, broad platform, and managing that breadth can become extra work when a team mainly needs to see the owner and the next step. Personal is free for one or two people, and Starter begins at $10.99 per user per month billed annually or $13.49 billed monthly. Arabic is also not currently included in Asana's official interface-language list.
In Fareeqy, every task has one owner, one deadline, and one priority, and required and completed work stays visible without heavy setup layers. Each member can ask Fareeqy Assistant, “What should I get done today?” and receive priorities from their project context. Arabic, RTL, and Hijri support make adoption easier.
The result? Your team spends less time managing the tool and more time delivering the project, with clear responsibility and a next step every member can see.

What is Asana?
Asana is a project and task management tool used by teams to organize work in projects and track what needs to be done.
It displays projects as lists, boards, or calendars. Starter adds a timeline (Gantt). Asana also includes project messages and status updates, so it is not limited to task views.

Advanced costs $24.99 per user per month billed annually or $30.49 billed monthly. It adds portfolios, goals, resource management, approvals, and time tracking. Enterprise requires contacting sales. On paid plans, the AI allowance is 5 requests per user per month, subject to account caps, plus AI Studio credits.
A worked example: a 10-person team on Asana Starter billed annually pays $109.90 per month. The same team on Fareeqy Pro billed annually pays $50 per month. Review Fareeqy pricing and compare what your team actually needs.
Does Asana support Arabic?
Asana’s interface is available in Indonesian, German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Swedish, and Traditional Chinese.
Arabic is not on that list, and Asana does not offer a Hijri calendar. Day to day, an Arabic-speaking team must navigate menus and settings in another language and manage dates without a Hijri calendar.
Fareeqy supports this work with a native Arabic RTL interface, Hijri and Gregorian calendars, and an Arabic support team. Language makes adoption easier, while clear ownership and daily execution remain the foundation.
When is Asana the better choice, and when is Fareeqy?
Asana is the better choice when you need portfolios, goals, resource management, approvals, and time tracking. It is also a better fit for a large organization with a dedicated administrator who can manage and use that breadth.
Fareeqy chooses clarity over methodology: every task has one owner, one deadline, and one priority set by its place in the list. The team can see what is required and what is complete, while conversations and Majlis decisions stay in the workspace.
From the Pro plan, ask Fareeqy Assistant: “Organize my tasks and tell me what I need to finish today.” It reads your projects within your permissions and returns your priorities in order. Anything it proposes to change waits for you by default, and the confirmation card lets you edit the title or priority before you approve.
