How to connect and disconnect your Google Calendar with Fareeqy

Permission: Owner, Manager, or Team Member

Enable the native integration between Fareeqy and Google Calendar in under a minute, or disconnect anytime — your data is removed from Fareeqy immediately.

What this integration does

Once connected, Fareeqy adds the events you create to your primary Google Calendar, optionally attaches a Google Meet link, and sends Google's standard invitation email to the attendees you listed. The same event is automatically updated or removed when you edit or delete it in Fareeqy, and attendee RSVP statuses are preserved across updates. Fareeqy does not read events you created yourself or events created by other apps, and does not access any other data in your Google account.

Connect your Google Calendar

  1. Sign in to Fareeqy.
  2. Open your Profile from the avatar menu at the top.
  3. Switch to the “Calendar” tab.
  4. Locate the Google Calendar card — it shows the Fareeqy and Google Calendar logos, the feature description, and three benefits: Google Meet links, attendee reminders, and two-way sync.
  5. Click “Add to Google Calendar”.
  6. You'll be redirected to Google's official sign-in page. Sign in with the Google account you want to connect.
  7. On Google's consent screen, grant Fareeqy the permissions it asks for: manage events on your Google Calendar, and see the email address of your Google account.
  8. After you click Allow, Google redirects you back to Fareeqy and a success message appears on the Calendar tab.
  9. The card now shows a green “Connected” badge, your connected Gmail address, and a small note that the initial sync may take a few moments. Existing and future Fareeqy meetings will start appearing on your Google Calendar automatically.

Disconnect your Google Calendar

  1. Sign in to Fareeqy.
  2. Open your Profile → Calendar tab.
  3. On the Google Calendar card (now showing your connected email), click “Remove from Google Calendar” at the bottom.
  4. A confirmation dialog appears asking you to confirm disconnection. Click Confirm.
  5. The card flips back to its “not connected” state with the “Add to Google Calendar” button, and a success message appears.
  6. Fareeqy immediately stops syncing new or updated meetings to your Google Calendar, and the stored access/refresh tokens and connected email are removed from your Fareeqy account.

Note: Events that Fareeqy already created on your Google Calendar before disconnecting remain on your calendar — disconnecting stops future syncing; it does not delete past events. You can remove them manually from Google Calendar if you wish.

Optional: revoke access from your Google account

Independently of Fareeqy, you can revoke Fareeqy's access from Google itself:

  1. Go to your Google account permissions page: myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  2. Find “Fareeqy” in the list of third-party apps with access.
  3. Click it, then click “Remove access”.

Tip: The end result is the same — Fareeqy can no longer call Google APIs on your behalf, and sync stops on the next attempt.
