Employee Task Tracking Template for Excel

Track daily work, ownership, deadlines, and progress in one clear spreadsheet

Free, no sign-up, no email. An xlsx file that works in Excel and Google Sheets

How often have you asked about a task and found it listed without a useful update? The employee may know what they are doing, while the rest of the team cannot see the deadline or current status. Once work slips, follow-up turns into messages and repeated questions.

This employee task tracking template places every task beside one assignee, one section, and a clear due date. Choose a status from the dropdown, record the completion date, and review each member's summary without recounting rows.

The result? You can see daily work as it stands, catch overdue tasks earlier, and give every team member a clear next step.

Your sheet becomes a live project

Upload the same file to the spreadsheet importer. The Task tracking sheet becomes a project, while each Section value becomes a task list. During preview, you match every Assignee name to a Fareeqy member, and the Summary and How to use sheets are skipped. Nothing is created until you review and confirm the preview.

  • The Task tracking sheet name becomes the project name
  • Each Section value becomes a task list
  • Each Assignee name waits for your member match in preview
  • Done or a filled Completed At value creates a completed task

Importing is available on paid plans and during the free trial, 14 days with no credit card

Frequently asked questions

Does the download require an account or email?

No. Download the Arabic or English file directly without creating an account or entering an email address.

Do colors and dropdowns transfer to Fareeqy?

No, only cell values transfer. Formulas, colors, dropdowns, and formatting stay in the Excel file. See the spreadsheet import guide for what appears in preview.

Is importing included in the Free plan?

Importing is available on paid plans and during the 14-day free trial, with no credit card required. The Free plan itself is free forever, but it does not include imports.

How can I find each employee's overdue tasks?

The Summary sheet counts every member's total, completed, in-progress, and overdue tasks. A task row also turns red when its due date has passed and its status is not Done.
