How to see who created, edited, and completed a task (Task Activity Log)

Permission: Owner, Manager, or Team Member

Every task in Fareeqy keeps an automatic log of everything that happened to it. Open it to see who did what and when — no meetings or WhatsApp threads needed.

Open the task activity log

  1. Open the task you want to check (from the project's task list, or from your “My Tasks” page).
  2. Scroll down the task and you'll find the “Activity” section.
  3. Events are ordered newest first, showing the member's name, avatar, and a relative time (e.g. “2 minutes ago”).

What does the log record?

  • Task creation — who created it and when.
  • Assignment and reassignment — who assigned the task to whom.
  • Deadline change — saves the old and new dates side by side.
  • Description or notes update — shows the text before and after.
  • Priority or status change.
  • Task completion and reopening — with the name of the member who did it.
  • Task deletion — with the actor's name and timestamp.

Note: The log is read-only. No member — not even the owner — can edit or delete log entries.

When to use the task activity log

  • When you want to know who changed the deadline before a meeting.
  • When you return to a task after a while and want to see everything that changed.
  • When you need documentation for a client review or compliance team.

Tip: Tip: the log is available on every plan, including Free, and works on personal todos too.
