How to see who created, edited, and completed a task (Task Activity Log)
Permission: Owner, Manager, or Team Member
Every task in Fareeqy keeps an automatic log of everything that happened to it. Open it to see who did what and when — no meetings or WhatsApp threads needed.
Open the task activity log
- Open the task you want to check (from the project's task list, or from your “My Tasks” page).
- Scroll down the task and you'll find the “Activity” section.
- Events are ordered newest first, showing the member's name, avatar, and a relative time (e.g. “2 minutes ago”).
What does the log record?
- Task creation — who created it and when.
- Assignment and reassignment — who assigned the task to whom.
- Deadline change — saves the old and new dates side by side.
- Description or notes update — shows the text before and after.
- Priority or status change.
- Task completion and reopening — with the name of the member who did it.
- Task deletion — with the actor's name and timestamp.
Note: The log is read-only. No member — not even the owner — can edit or delete log entries.
When to use the task activity log
- When you want to know who changed the deadline before a meeting.
- When you return to a task after a while and want to see everything that changed.
- When you need documentation for a client review or compliance team.
Tip: Tip: the log is available on every plan, including Free, and works on personal todos too.
