How to archive a project
Permission: Owner or Manager
Set finished or paused projects aside without losing a thing. Your main list stays clean, your data stays preserved, and you can restore it in one click.
Archiving in Fareeqy hides a project from the main list and stops new content from being added — while keeping every piece of data readable and restorable. The right choice for projects that shipped, launches that wrapped, or clients that paused.
- Open the project you want to archive.
- Click the options menu (the top button next to the project name).
- Click "Archive project".
- A confirmation dialog explains that the project will disappear from the main list, the team won't be able to add new content, and you can restore it anytime.
- Click "Yes, archive the project" to confirm, or "Cancel" to back out.
What happens after archiving?
- The project disappears from the main list and moves to the "Archive" tab.
- A clear banner appears on the project page with the archive date.
- The project card gets an "Archived" badge and a dimmed appearance in lists.
- Your team can read everything — tasks, comments, files, discussions, and chat — but can't add new content.
- The project is excluded from reports by default, with an "Include archived projects" toggle when needed.
- The archive action is recorded in the project's activity log with your name and timestamp.
Note: Archived projects still count toward your plan's project limit. To free a slot, use delete project instead, or upgrade your plan.
Tip: Tip: archiving is reversible anytime. See How to restore an archived project.
